Divisions

I. Championship Divisions

Only European residents can compete in Championship Divisions (see the list in Registration section).
Title European Champion will be awarded to the winner of each divison.
Minimum of 3 players is required for the division to be opened.

1A YoyoFactory – single handed string tricks

String tricks only. One minute freestyle qualification and three minutes finals. Players who won their national contests in 1A are seeded directly to the finals.

2A – double handed looping tricks

Looping style tricks only. Three minutes finals. This division is without qualification. If the number of registered contestants exceeds 10, one minute qualification will be added and national winners seeded.

3A – double handed string tricks

String tricks with two yoyos only. Three minutes finals. This division is without qualification. If the number of registered contestants exceeds 10, one minute qualification will be added and national winners seeded.

4A – offstring tricks

Offstring tricks only. Three minutes finals. This division is without qualification. If the number of registered contestants exceeds 10, one minute qualification will be added and national winners seeded.

5A – counterweight tricks

Counter-weight style tricks only. One minute freestyle qualification and three minutes finals. Players who won their national contests with 5A style (in 5A or X/Y Division) are seeded.

SpinTop

Players are lined up shoulder to shoulder and each got 3 throws to show the best trick or combo. Judges will choose the best attempt of every player and choose a winner from all best attempts.

AP – Artistic Performance

Division where player or group of players are judged predominantly on performance. Choreography, use of music, creative use of the stage, movement and performance will be among the important judging criteria of this division. Please remember that this is still a yo-yo contest so judges will primarily take into account the elements of performance that occur while the contestant is yo-yoing. Your show must be under 4:00 minutes.

How to enter: submit your video until 5th January 2012 (upload as private video to video servers, upload to private server, send on CD/DVD), if you need help submitting contact us. Judges will choose 5 players/teams (based on the submitted video) that will compete in finals.

II. Other divisions

Anyone can compete (see the list in Registration section).
No European Champion titles will be awarded to the winner of these divisons.
Minimum of 3 players is required for the division to be opened.

Eric’s 1A Women’s freestyle division

This is a division for women competitors and consist of three minute freestyle without qualification. Competitors in this division are allowed to participate in 1A Championship division as well.

1A Open Division – single handed string tricks

This division is for Non – European residents. String tricks and 1A only. Three minutes final freestyle. If the number of the contestants exceeds 10, one minute qualification freestyle will be added.

Trick Ladder Division

This division is open to everybody and will be divided to the age groups and Championship Level. This is not a championship division.
Age Groups: 0-15, 16-29, 30 and over
Championship Level: For the players who compete in any of the championship divisions (1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A, AP) and in 1A Open Division.
One attempt per trick is allowed. One missed trick will be allowed on the ladder, the second miss retires the player from the ladder.
